Professional, proficient and affordable! The 1st Defense Home Inspections Team made the entire process so user friendly! We were able to speak to a representative on the phone to set up our appointment and to discuss the costs and coverage of the services they offered. We devised a plan and within minutes received an email confirming our appointment date/time and had the convenient option of paying online! On the day of our inspection, the trend of professional and proficient service continued! 1st Defense worked diligently inspecting every inch of our home and informed us of their findings. Within 24 hours we had the completed reports in our inbox! This made sharing the reports with our prospective insurance companies a breeze! We have bought and sold several houses during our military career and in the 6 years following. I've seen more than a few home inspection reports but Mr. Stutler's (1st Defense Home Inspections) was the best organized, best written and most useful report we have ever received from an inspector. His prices were very reasonable and moved quickly in short order to meet our timeline. Very professional and earned our recommendations and future business.

As a new realtor I knew nothing about the home inspection process and how beneficial or detrimental it could be in the sale of property! Scott Stutler is amazing! He is always available for my clients - before, during and AFTER their home purchase! As the President of the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce, it is always first and foremost on my agenda to search for Chamber members when a need for a service is required—either professionally or personally.  When I needed a home inspector for a house we were considering buying, I was disappointed to note that our chamber had no home inspectors. 

Thus, I did what we all do in this day and age—I Googled: Home Inspector in Fort Walton Beach.  And thru the normal process of reviewing the various choices, I selected 1st Defense Home Inspections.  My email inquiry for information was almost immediately answered in a professional manner. Whatever skepticism I might have had pertaining to hiring someone simply from a website inquiry was quickly vanished with the process that Scott Stutler handled the job.  From our initial phone call to his very in-depth post inspection phone call followed by an even more through report, I achieved more than anticipated with his service. I found his prices to be reasonable for the services rendered.  And then when I requested that he return to the house to check the follow up of some of the repairs the home owner was to have completed, I found Scott again very accommodating.  Finally two reports were requested from my insurance company—and Scott—once again, completed them in a very timely manner. Of course home inspections are at the total discretion of the buyer—and not required.  If you have questions whether one is needed in your particular case, I would chat with Scott first to allow him the opportunity to assist you in making that decision.  We were very glad that we used him.  He assisted with areas of expertise pertaining to the house that I would never know.  He allowed us to find areas of concern that the owner could repair as part of the contract process.

Scott did a great job. We had never seen this home except through photos, and we were very happy with the service we received. We had a friend representing us during the inspection, and Scott went over all of the issues he found. We felt he did an excellent job and the comprehensive report that he provided us, let us know exactly what we were buying(good and bad). I would highly recommend him to anyone.
